Karroubi was attacked at Tehran's Press Fair
ENGLISH  - The arrival of general secretary of E'temad Meli Party, Mahdi Karroubi to Tehran's Press Fair led to conflicts between anti and pro government supporters.

As Khabar Online correspondent reported, he got attacked by a shoe while was visiting the fair held in Mossala of Tehran.  

The former presidential candidate began his visit from the Foreign Media Department. Shortly afterwards a crowd of people chanted slogans in favor of him while some others shouted against him. The mass of people gathered at that place caused damages to some booths belonging to foreign media.

The chanted slogans included "long live Karroubi!" from one side and "Liar, get lost!" from the other. According to this report, after a shoe was thrown at Karroubi, the clashes intensified leading to serious damages made to the Public Relations Office of the fair. To pacify the tense milieu, the executives of the fair began to relocate Karroubi to the Public Relations Office where crowd rushed there and damaged the walls. From one hand they were shouting "Death to dictator!" and from the other "Death to hypocrite!"

Meanwhile, Borna news agency's booth began to play a ballad so loudly using powerful speakers.One of the other slogans chanted by the supporters of Karroubi was "The true Basiji was Nour-Ali Shoushtari" (the late Gen. of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps who was killed in the recent suicide bomb attack in Sistan and Balouchestan.).

The general secretary of E'temad Meli Party announced that Mir Hossein Mousavi and former president, Mohammad Khatami will also attend the firm respectively on Saturday and Sunday.
